Liverpool continue reign in Northern Europe

Liverpool have clinched another D1 title. It’s their fourth in a row and seventh in the last eight seasons. Although the English club has an increasingly ageing squad, it’s still one of the best in the Wes world.
The title was led by the club’s legendary 8.5m star striker Wendel, who finished the season with 18 goals (tied with Poznan’s Cabezas for top scorer). But it’s the club’s incredible ablity to dominate possession versus opponents that really sets it apart. Particularly in a relatively young D1, the club was always going to be too strong this season.
In the end, Liverpool won it with multiple games to spare. The club played youths in its last three games as it prepared for the Wes Cup final. (Which it was unlucky to lose against Las Vegas.)
Despite rumors of a rebuild, manager Oz has stated that the same team will try to add another title next season. There were no significant retirements and Liverpool will likely again be the favorite to lift the trophy, perhaps for the last time for this generation. After that --- who knows who will dominate the region?
